Bangalore IPFC inaugurated

Dr. J. Alexander, IAS (Retd.) Former Chief Secretary, Government of Karnataka formally inaugurated the Intellectual Property Rights Facilitation Centre (IPFC) in Bangalore on March 22, 2012. Other dignitaries present during the inauguration included Sri. S. M. Jamkhandi, Director MSME- Development Institute, Sri Mohan Suresh, Past President, FISME, senior office bearers of major industry associations of Karnataka, noted industrialists among others. 

The centre has been established by the Federation of Indian Micro and Small & Medium Enterprises (FISME) with the support of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India under the National Manufacturing Competitiveness Programme. 

The IP Experts of the centre would help MSMEs to protect their intellectual work through Patents, Trade Marks, Copyright and GI registration. By leveraging the schemes of the Government of India the centre would also help these MSMEs to protect their IP rights at a subsidized cost. 

Apart from the Bangalore centre, FISME is also operating two other IPFCs located in New Delhi and Hyderabad respectively.
