FISME to organise Innovation Lab for MSMEs

March 26, 2012, Hotel Vivanta by Taj, Begumpet, Hyderabad

1830 hrs onwards to be followed by dinner

As you are aware, Federation of Indian Micro and Small & Medium Enterprises (FISME) a network of more than 700 MSME associations, is the chief representative body of MSMEs in India. Ensuring market access for SMEs in India and abroad, policy advocacy for improvement in promotional and regulatory environment and exposing MSMEs to new opportunities are some of the major activities which FISME is engaged in.

Surviving and thriving amidst global competition and adverse conditions, successful entrepreneurs are known to leverage a potent tool at their command: innovation. They play and tweak with factors of production to create new value for customers: through a new design, a new product, a better process or a new service or discovering a new market.

To bring innovative ideas to MSMEs, FISME is initiating a series of a unique concept: Innovation-Lab for MSMEs – ‘Helping new age MSMEs compete with innovative ideas’. The first programme of the series is to be held in Hyderabad on 26th March 2012. The session will be followed by Q&A and concludes with dinner which would also provide entrepreneurs an opportunity for networking.

Hon’ble Minister Shri Gaddam Prasad Kumar* Minister for Handlooms & Textiles, Spinning Mills, Small Scale Industries and K&VI Board has been invited to be the Chief guest.

Hon'ble Minister will also inaugurate FISME's IP Facilitation Center for MSMEs (being set up in Hyderabad by Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India) to help MSMEs protect their intellectual property such as Patents, Copyrights, Designs, Trade Marks etc.
